[edit] About Co-opWiki
This Wiki can be described using the same definition as for a Co-op itself:
[edit] Definition
"A Co-operative is an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically controlled enterprise."
[edit] Why Co-opWiki exists
You may use this wiki to find information about individual Co-operatives around the world or to read about the co-operative movement as a whole.
[edit] Contributing to Co-opWiki
Please contribute if you have information you would like to share. Some ideas about what you could write:
- Info about the Co-op you belong to
- Guiding principles
- Important people in co-op past or present
- Events, upcoming or historical
- Documents that may be reproduced legally
- etc!
Or read the requested pages to see if there's a page someone needs that you can provide...
To find out how to contribute, read the User's Guide or learn how by pressing the 'edit' button at the top of any page.
[edit] Progress so far
You may have noticed that there isn't much here yet! Co-opWiki is very new. In fact it was started on February the 17th 2006. There will be pages added to help the structure, but the majority of content will come from you the reader...
[edit] things still to do
- write help page
- create structural/navigational pages
- tell people Co-opWiki is here!
[edit] Recent Pages
These are some recently created pages. If you create a page add it here:
- Credit Union
- 7 Co-operative Principles
- Co-op Types
- Categorised List of Co-ops in the UK
- Free/Libre/Open-Source Software
